The profile of the group of companies V4 SIE

The group of companies V4 SIE (safe independent energy) was made from small and medium companies from the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Hungary and Poland, which have expertise in designing, manufacturing, construction, commissioning and maintenance of equipment for the production of electricity from nuclear and conventional sources, as well and in renewable resources and careful management of energy resources.

The group of companies V4 SIE works closely with the association of legal entities ATOMEX GROUP (www.atomex.cz) and therefore it is expanding its competence in the fields of the mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and the measurement and regulation.

In case of their own project realizations, the V4 SIE uses co-production with the manufacturing base of the Ukrainian company NNEGC Energoatom, especially through the transfer of know-how from the V4 SIE members and their business partners.

Zeppelin CZ s.r.o.

The company Zeppelin CZ Ltd. company offers two products significantly increasing operational reliability of nuclear power plants. Both solutions are based on Caterpillar technology, they are design in the Czech Republic, protected by the Industrial Property Office in Prague, with high added value Zeppelin CZ. Both solutions are designed "turnkey", from one vendor that also provides installation, commissioning, trial operation and also customer service in cooperation with its sister company Zeppelin Ukraine.

Diesel-generator station BS1® is a unique device providing power supply of the network AAC in the nuclear power plant at a total failure of the external network (SBO - The Blackout). The hallmark is the compactness, given by the storing in the set of five containers. Compared to solutions in a concrete bunker, this solution has significantly shorter construction time, lower requirements for construction work, the possibility to displace the device via conventional technical means at any time during its technical lifetime, easy replacement of some components, high operating reliability (documented by Reliability project). The resistance to the outside influences is thanks to the structural design of the diesel generator station BS1® comparable to installation in an underground building.  The solution is not only a diesel generator itself, but also other system components and measures to ensure the full independence of the AAC network from the standard wiring in the power plant. This is an advantage over mobile generators. Mobile generators must, when being installed at the chosen site, at secured connection point.  They are also not adequately secured against external influences compared to diesel generator station BS1®. Diesel-generator station BS1® has a rated capacity of 4000 kVA STBY and the output voltage of 6300 V / 50 Hz.

Energocentre NZ2® is an uninterruptible power supply to ensure trouble-free operation of important objects and technologies. The primary advantage of the energy centre NZ2® is the substitution of the conventional chemical batteries by a rotational energy storage - flywheel. For this reason energocentre NZ2® has no known negative features of the backup power sources with batteries, such as limited lifetime, sensitivity to surrounding climatic conditions, the sensitivity to the operating conditions, ecological destruction and low operating reliability. On the contrary, mechanical energy store is able to work in any environment.

Another unique feature of the energocentre NZ2® is a different design philosophy.  When it comes to conventional backup power supply systems, the battery (or another) UPS source is the "heart" of the energocentre. But in case of NZ2®, the diesel-generator is the key component. Operational reliability (also documented via Reliability project) is thus based on quality and reliability of diesel-generator Caterpillar, which is well-known.

Energocentre NZ2® is supplied with an output of 150 to 4000 kVA, with an output voltage of 400 V / 50 Hz. It is possible to deliver the device in a container (6 - 9 - 12 meters) or as an installation in the building.

Within the Conditioning Consortium (CC), the Company GEOSIL Group Inc. deals with the transfer of new modern technologies and equipment developed in the Czech and Slovak companies to the Ukrainian and Russian markets. An example is the technology of processing liquid radioactive waste generated during the operation of nuclear facilities through their solidification into a geopolymer matrix.

The technology transfer is provided with complete service, i.e. from market research, monitoring of the current situation (legal status, level of technical solutions, etc.) to the commissioning and personnel training. GEOSIL Group verifies the applicability of the technologies and equipment in the given conditions (laboratory, pilot plant) and proposes solutions for the given problem. Company also provides support to local organizations during the introduction of new technologies. All orders are covered with a complete project documentation including necessary safety and licensing documents.

Technological equipment for the constructed / reconstructed nuclear power plants

Delivery of the technological units for the decontamination of equipment (their parts) at nuclear power plants:

  • Decontamination of the demountable parts of the primary circuit (removable part of the main circulating pumps, and main closing valves, lids of the collectors of the steam generators, bolts, and so on.
  • Decontamination of the internal surfaces of the non-removable parts of the primary circuit (steam generators, the casings of the main circulating pumps and main closing valves, pressurizers, reactor inlets)

Main advantages: 

  • The possibility of using the original decontamination recipes for chemical and electro chemical decontamination as well as the possibility of new applications of efficient decontamination procedures;
  • Minimizing the production of secondary radioactive waste and the possibility of their pre-treatment and processing using conventional technological methods;
  • Minimum corrosive attacks of chemical agents on the base material / welds;
  • High degree of the operations automation - decreased demands on the human resources, reduction of personnel radiation dose.

The supply of technological lines for the transport and processing of the radioactive waste into a form acceptable to the storage, or releasable to the environment

  • In case of operating power plant, it is possible to supply facilities in a mobile version. Facilities are installed near the waste storage tanks. The installation of the mobile lines usually does not require reconstruction of premises, the individual modules are transportable despite the problematic points (narrow passages, mounting holes, stairs, doors, etc.). After processing the waste on the site, the technological lines are disassembled and transported away.
  • In case of construction of new nuclear power plants, such a technological line can be installed directly on the premises of the plant (the Auxiliary Building) instead of installing large capacity storage tanks. The produced waste is an ongoing campaign-processed on site and transported for disposal.

Remotely controlled manipulators / trucks

They are designed and supplied for special purposes and activities in places where the entrance is limited due high radiation fields or confined space.

Remotely operated equipment are used for:

  • Monitoring of radiation situation and the physical condition of buildings;
  • Sampling;
  • Removing waste;
  • Surface decontamination
  • Dismantling of the equipment.

The  company Solace develops and produces own cable support system.

Cable support system SOLACE is designed for use in wide range of environment types, from administrative buildings or shopping malls to nuclear power plants.

Solace also offers wide spectrum of cables for low, medium and high voltage, fiber-optic cables and cables for nuclear power plants qualified 1E/K1 (LOCA) in standard or fire resistant (retardant) execution.

As the newest product, Solace introduced a cable cleats made from non-magnetic stainless steel with halogen-free plastic covers, which can be used for fixing the cables as well as a protection against releasing the cables during the short-circuit.
